Pirate's Cove Billfish Tournament

This 606 lb blue marlin was one of many caught this week in the 22nd annual Pirates Cove Billfish tournament. Another one weighing 796 was brought to the dock on Tuesday. There have been over 300 billfish caught in the last 3 days. Unbelievable fishing! With one day left the fight for the million dollar payout is on!

Tying Up Loose Ends

I've taken care of all the little things I have been putting off for the past few weeks. Being in the hospital allows you time to think of all the shit you have procrastinated about, like..
1. Make Nathans 9 month appt.- Done
2. Call School Board about Retirement fund.- Done, mailing forms to me
3. Call VCU and request a copy of medical records.- Still working on this
4. Fill out SSD Forms - 3/4 done
5. Oil Changed in Tahoe- Hope to have done by Friday
6. Start packing clothes for Pirate's Cove trip.- Bags are airing out as I type
We are really looking forward to our trip. The tournament starts Tuesday of next week, so we are going down this Saturday so we can really be bums! George is fishing on the Victory Lap and is hoping to net some big dough! Let the bite begin!!!!!!!!!!!

Downtime with Daddy

Nathan and George enjoyed "SpaceJam" on the tele this morning. My Mom and Dad are recuperating albeit slowly. Mom gets her knee evaluated next Tuesday and I hope she hears good news. DJ's visit was great and I think he could have eaten every tomato we had!! We were all glad to see him, especially Mom and Dad. George took him to Outback while I was in the hospital for a second round. Yep, the old pancreas acting up again. I got a little over 8 weeks since my last stay.
Stayed closer to home this time at the local hospital and had my wedding ring stolen. What a drag......Anyway Bamah's ring resurfaces and feels better. The top photo was taken last year at the WWII Memorial in Washington, DC. I recommend everyone stop and see this solemn stone structure on their next visit to the nation's capital.
