Saturday on the Farm

The week flew by, feeling pretty good, still haven't eaten red meat. We had Chinese takeout last night and it settled well. My sleep is still messed up though, can't sleep solidly, always waking up to the slightest sound or move. The temps are supposed to reach the 60's today and then a strong cold front is expected to move through. I'm going to take the little boo outside after his morning nap and let him run around to his heart's content. I'll try to take some pics which reminds me I have to charge the battery on the camera. Mental note, once I'm done here, hell....better do it now or I'll forget......... Yesterday was cold but I bundled boo up and we rode around on the golf cart and played on the bball court. George's gang is working today to make up for the rainy days we had this week so I think we will go to the vadiner for dinner. Nathan has his 15 mo checkup on monday and looking forward to seeing his regular dr who is back from maternity leave. Nate rec'd a huge bag of clothes from n and c and they are adorable, so many bathing suit trunks, George was jealous!

Nathan's Sledding Adventure

We took advantage of what little snow we did have and hooked Nate's sled up to the golf cart for a ride around the farm. The look on his face was priceless! I took video, too and he talked and talked baby talk around the curves. We had a blast and it was a pleasant surprise to wake up to this morning.

This Valentines Stuff is Great!!!!

Nathan had a great Valentines Day and tore into his candy box from Papa. He's a chocaholic just like his Mom! George got me a beautiful dozen yellow roses with red tips, they're gorgeous and smell heavenly. I spent the morning at MCV and realized what a waste of time it is. Bidwell can do the same thing for me and I wouldn't have to wait for my scripts in the snail mail, or on Stacie for anything else. This pancreatitis shit is a pain in the royal ass. They took 8 tubes of blood today and had to stick me four times. My blood clotted before the tube filled but the woman took sympathy on me and said they would have to work with what she got. Still not eating red meat and finding my pain level has decreased some in the mornings, and when I feel extra pain when waking up my meds and the hot tub have been able to keep my flareups under control AND at home! The flowers should be blooming up the lane in the next few weeks, always a sign that spring is not far off to me and thinking about that garden for this season. I want more gladiolus, too. Ah, Spring.......and it might, just might, snow this weekend!!!!!!

Valentines Day 2006

This was the calm before the storm. The evening before the great Blizzard of '06. We just received the tail end of it with a dusting of snow and flurries but did they ever get hammered up north. Nathan will have to wait to see snow and I have my doubts on whether he will see any this season. George was up in Harrisburg when it hit and said they had a little over a foot. We were glad to see him Sunday evening. Today is Valentines Day so everyone have a great day!

Saturday on the Farm

It's a misty Saturday so we're staying close to the t.v. and I'm trying to catch as many bball games as possible. Duke pulled it out in the end and that was a good one to watch in OT, that Directv college bball pkge is too much. I can see an unlimited number of games from coast to coast. Nate's napping and George is cooking a sauce for the pasta for dinner tonight. I hooked up broadband and it really is quicker. We rode the golf cart around the farm on the warm days we had this week looking for artifacts. There are alot of chips on the high grounds near the back of the farm, when they till it we might luck up and find something. Nathan loves the outdoors and I'm so glad for that. I stayed outside growing up unless it was raining and then it was down to play in the basement. I have to work on my program for UDC on the 12th. Need to do some more research tonight. But for now it's clearly bball watching. And my prediction for the Superbowl, even though I watch college instead, is Pittsburgh 28-21.
